The first Machinery of Happiness piece was made on a deck that looks out over the gorgeous and expansive Birch Bay in Washington. I was working on post-telephony, steampunky sorts of pieces and this one just fell into place. The name came quickly (the names of my pieces are usually determined once they are complete) and has become a trademark of sorts for my endeavors...
